We have a wide variety of farm products. Our list is constantly changing, due to
seasonal availability, low stock, and farm changes. We will make arrangements
individually for products. We do not have set hours for farm pick up. And our
delivery schedule varies. All arrangements must be made in advance.

We have a wide variety of
poultry. We raise about
30 different breeds of
chickens, turkeys and
geese. Just like people
come in different sizes
and colors, so do
chickens and their eggs.
Our chickens range in
bantam sizes to the large
heavy egg layer. Our egg
colors are what we like to
call rainbow. We have
green eggs, dark green,
a blue, speckled, spotted,
dark chocolate brown,
light brown, dark brown, a
cream, bright white, a
white with a touch of pink
and more. When you buy
a dozen Dream Thyme
Farm eggs, they were
collected three times a
day, washed immediately
and put into an egg
carton and marked. They
come in a variety of
colors. Our eggs have a
dark, almost orange
colored yolk. That is
because our chickens
are heavily pastured.
They are moved every 1-2
weeks and not fed until
the afternoon. So, they
forage in the pastures for
bugs and greens. We
feed them a special mix
of scratch that we
designed with a mixture
of organic grains and
treats.
In our heavy milking time, sometimes they are given excess milk, and of course they are always given extra whey from our
cheese making. They also get the excess cheese that may not have been up to my standards, or if we have an overflow that
week.
Our chickens also get extra vegetables and fruits from our garden. Sometimes cooked, mostly raw, they come running when
they see us coming with their bucket.
We do sell chickens. We sell a combination starter flock for farms, and we also sell chicks in the spring. We also have excess
chicks from the spring county wide embryology project. We donate the eggs to our extension office for the local schools to
hatch. Sometimes we get extra chicks from the project. If you would like to sign up for these chicks, please contact us as soon
as possible. We ask that you make a donation to the 4-H program when you receive your chicks.
We raise turkeys and chickens every year. We always ask for your order as soon as possible.
They are introduced to pasture almost immediately and they are moved constantly to new areas. They are different
than the chicken that you purchase from your large grocery store chain. What the difference is, is that they are full of
flavor, they have been eating what is a more natural diet of greens and bugs, and they give themselves dirt baths and
they run and play. This means that they develop muscles. Which translates to, when cooked, a meat that you chew.
These birds have space to run around, are not fed chemical feeds with antibiotics and coccidia medicine. We also
have available extra roosters for the soup pot. Heavily pastured and wonderful in flavor. I use them for slow cooking for
taco meat, soups and chicken and dumplings.
Turkeys are one of my favorite birds. They are intelligent, fun beautiful birds. They have a great personality and really
make me smile when I see them. I have collected many stories about our turkeys over the years.
We sell some heritage turkeys every year. Heritage turkeys are the old breed of turkeys.
We also raise the larger, commercial turkeys every year. These are the broad breasted white turkeys. They are raised
on rotational pasture and fed a healthy special mix feed with organic grains. Turkeys take a lot of work to raise. They
are also expensive to raise.
If you are interested in a farm fresh turkey, we ask that you have your order to us early in the year. Our turkeys sell out
quickly and we always have a waiting list. Our turkeys are tender and full of flavor. Because they are so expensive to
raise and extremely time consuming, we will take time off to raise them if we have some extras in our freezer.
We have a smaller garden at this time, with a wide variety of organic vegetables and fruits for sale.
Most of our plants are started inside in the spring with organic seeds, and transplanted to our garden. Some are direct seeded.
Our spring is always busy with farm births, milking and farm babies everywhere. So, we always welcome volunteers in the
spring to help get the garden planted.
We plant a variety of vegetables every year. And we sell to local stores, at farmers markets and we do a small subscription
service of farm products.
We also have a small orchard and berries. We have about 3-5 acres of organic berries, which include blackberries, black
raspberries, red raspberries, boysenberries, blueberries and strawberries. Our berries sell very quickly at the markets, so if
you are interested, please order early. We do not offer a pick your own service.
We have herbs and we also wild forage. And we sell walnuts, asparagus, mushrooms and many other products. If there is
something special that you are looking for, contact us. If we don’t have it, we will help find another local farmer who does.
