PASTURED GOAT MEAT
Any meat goats raised in the winter are fed locally grown organic hay, loaded with a combination of clover, alfalfa, timothy, orchard grass and
more.
With custom orders, you can retain the head, entrails, and whatever else you would like. You can have the whole goat cut up into cubes, with the
bones, and packaged or in a couple of large bags. You pay us by the live weight and pay our processor for your custom processing. We haul the
goat for you.
We also sell by the cut, and the price varies by the different cuts. We have legs, chops, steaks, cubed (with and without the bones), ribs, cubed
steaks, ground, and organs. Some cuts we may not have in stock, you may have to order in advance.
All of our cuts are frozen, vacuumed packed and in 1-2# packages. It is USDA inspected. Our biggest request is cubed, with the bones. Our
customers use these cuts for curries and stews. Our other biggest sellers are our chops, steaks and legs.
Goat meat should be marinated and cooked slowly. We have cooked it a number of different ways. I love curries and stews. My
family loves BBQ, and my husband loves it with a touch of spicy heat added. We raise our goats with their health in mind, feeding
them the best pastures here, the best hay and the cleanest environment.
I love to share recipes, if you have a favorite, please pass it along.
I like to make a goat stew, with our own organic vegetables, mushrooms, our own canned tomatoes and fresh herbs. Nothing
better with homemade bread and a cold glass of fresh raw cold goat milk and a glass of local red wine.
A favorite request when we attend pot luck gatherings is our Goat Curry. This is definitely one of my favorites too.

This is an example of goat chops. (Not a
professional picture by any means!) Here are
two packages of our USDA goat chops. I
was getting them ready to cook up for one of
our goat curries that we make.
This is a picture of our cubed goat meat with
the bone left in. I find that I use this in our
stews, curries, soups, and gravies more than
the other cuts of meat.
I will take this meat, sprinkle it with spices,
marinate it, then brown it in ghee.
Then it goes into a slow cooker with
tomatoes, coconut milk, more spices and a
touch of heat.
I recommend that our goat meat be cooked
slowly, in a roaster or slow cooker or dutch
oven. Slow cooking makes the flavors blend
and makes the meat extra tender.

Goat BBQ is wonderful. Full of flavor, tender
on sandwiches and makes your guests ask
for more.
I like to marinate the meat in a special rub
and a touch of whiskey.
Cooked slowly until the meat falls from the
bone and then pulled apart and cooked with
a homemade BBQ sauce made from our
own tomatoes, and spices.
